National Guard Soldier Deployed To US-Mexico Border Accused Of Stealing Meth From Border Patrol Agents

A member of the Texas National Guard who was deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border is accused of stealing methamphetamine that had been seized by Customs and Border Protection agents. The soldier, Pvt. Edwin Baez, a 30-year-old from the Houston area, allegedly stole about 3.3 pounds of the drug from CBP on August 1, according to a federal affidavit seen by the Associated Press.
