Before convention, GOP platform takes shape with pro-Bible, anti-transgender language

Early Monday, the members of the Republican National Convention's health care subcommittee approved new language supporting the teaching of the Bible in public schools and opposing transgender rights to public facilities. It also said the Obama administration is seeking to dilute sexual discrimination laws in Title IX by including "gender identity" in those laws.
